As we move further into 2024, we’ve continued expanding our services and features to bring Dynadot users new tools and requested features to improve their branding and domain management experience. Expanding on our quarter one update article, below you can find the full list of the larger changes we’ve made during quarter two of 2024. Logo Builder Launch
Creating a new brand is a challenging process, so we want to continue to invest in creating opportunities to make the journey that much easier. To help with the branding process, we’ve developed the Dynadot logo builder. This is a tool that allows anyone with a domain to generate a custom logo that matches their brand. This includes generating unique fonts, icons, and general styles compiled to match your domain and brand. Our tool is quick and easy to use, guiding you step-by-step through the logo creation process. All domains come with a free logo, so make sure to give it a try!

Launching a website is a crucial step for any new or existing business, but there's more to consider when doing so. Branding is essential for bolstering your business both on and offline. The Dynadot logo builder helps ease the hurdles of designing the perfect logo. Best of all, it’s done right from the same place where your website and domain are managed. We aim to ensure our users have all the necessary tools to create the best website possible.
Backup Payment for Auto-Renewals
When domains are set for auto-renewal, our customers should feel confident that they don’t have to worry about losing their domain through expiration. On occasion, users who have auto-renewal enabled have still lost domains due to credit card expiration or their banks re-issuing new card numbers at no fault of the customer. While we do notify customers of failed payments, sometimes those notifications are missed. To combat this, we’ve added a backup payment method that Dynadot users can set for auto-renewals. This can be added when setting up auto-renew for an individual domain in the 'Manage Domains' section of your control panel or added in the ‘Payments’ section. Other Changes
Along with the changes listed above, we’re frequently making smaller quality-of-life adjustments to our existing services or adding minor new features requested by our customers. Here are some of the highlights from the second quarter of 2024.
Email Verifications for New Devices
We’ve introduced an email security verification process to protect accounts that don’t use our existing advanced login security measures (such as two-factor authentication, SMS login codes, or Yubikey verification). If a user tries to login to their account from a device that isn’t recognized under their account, they'll receive a verification code to their associated account email address, which will provide an access code to complete the Dynadot login process.
Keyword Filter on All Aftermarket Pages
All of our aftermarket pages have a new filter implemented, allowing users to filter domains in our listings by keywords either at the start or at the end of the domain name. You can find these filter options under the ‘Filter’ setting on any of our aftermarket pages.
Added Back-Up Payment for Auto-renew on Folder
Through the process mentioned above in the ‘Backup for Auto-renewal’ section, we’ve also added the ability for users to add a backup payment when assigning autorenewal to any of the folders that’re in their account. Simply find your folder in the control panel and assign auto-renewal to all the domains within it. Through this process you’ll see the option to add a backup payment.
Added Add-to-Cart Icons to Wishlist Domains
When domains in your watchlist are available for registration, you will now see the ‘Add-to-Cart’ button included on the watchlist page to make it easier to quickly acquire them.
Bulk Action Download From Manage Domains List
When you select multiple domain names from your ‘Manage Domains’ section of the user control panel, you’ll be able to use a new ‘Bulk Action’ to export the list of domain names by using the ‘Download List’ option. This will allow you to create a customized list for download based on metrics you specify or to download the DNS records for all those selected domains.
Open Marketplace Verification Methods Improvement
We’ve improved the user interface provided in our control panel when connecting domains from other registrars with Dynadot to list for sale. When adding domains from other registrars, the instructions provided for the three options (Name Server, TXT record, or CNAME) will be more distinct based on the option selected, allowing users to more easily connect their domains located on other registrars with the Dynadot platform.
Expanded Bank Wire Payment Type
Bank wire payments can now be paid using either the Australian dollar (AUD) or Canadian dollar (CAD).
iDEAL Payment Method
You can now complete Dynadot purchases using the iDEAL payment method. IDEAL lets you make payments through their own bank (typically tied to Euro banks). You can find more information here.
